Some of the clients still use Win 2008 R2 and it’s quite common in 2008 R2 servers that CbsPerist_xx.log is bloated taking up most of the spaces. The location of those files is %Windir%\Logs/CBS. You can use TreeSize free version by Jam Software to analyze the disk space used. CbsPerist mainly contains information related to Windows update and Component store. It is safe to delete those files, it will recreate again, however it is better to keep the .cab file intact in yhe cbs folder.
